The Bouwinvest Retail Fund has sold the retail property at Muntstraat 19 in Maastricht to A1 Vastgoed Beleggingen C.V. The 19th-century city centre property is leased by international women’s fashion chain VILA. The sale is in line with the fund’s strategy to optimise its portfolio.

Bouwinvest’s Retail Fund focuses on neighbourhood shopping centres for daily shopping (Convenience) and the largest shopping cities and busiest shopping streets in the Netherlands (Experience). “We continuously optimise our portfolio, via the likes of redevelopments and the active asset management of our existing projects. This transaction is a deliberate step in the further alignment of the portfolio with our strategic goals,” says Collin Boelhouwer, Fund Manager Dutch Retail Investments. Bouwinvest was assisted in this transaction by Cushman & Wakefield.

The Muntstraat 19 property in Maastricht is a good fit with A1 Vastgoed’s investment strategy. A1 Vastgoed makes long-term investments in A1 retail properties in the top 50 cities in the Netherlands.
