Bouwinvest acquires healthcare real estate portfolio of 11 residential care complexes from emeis

The Bouwinvest Healthcare Fund has acquired a healthcare real estate portfolio of 11 private residential care complexes in the Netherlands from care home operator emeis. The portfolio consists of five recently completed projects in Best, Ede, Emmeloord, Heerenveen and Middelburg and six projects yet to be built.

Wonen bij September, which is part of emeis, provides the care in the residential care complexes. The target group of the complexes are senior citizens with more intensive care needs. Bouwinvest expects all the new-build projects to be completed by 2025.

Thanks to the acquisition of this extensive portfolio of existing buildings and new-build projects, we are making a significant step in the important private residential care segment. We are also looking to the future with particular interest in existing properties or properties that can be delivered quickly.”
