The Bouwinvest Residential Fund has sold 196 homes in Maastricht to Grouwels Vastgoed. The homes are located in a complex in the Boschstraat-Oost district in the Maastricht city centre and were built in 1987. A total fo 54% of the homes have a B or C energy label, while the rest of the apartments have an A label.

Christian Schouten, Head of Dutch Transaction Management at Bouwinvest, explains the transaction: “This sale enables us to further optimise the Residential Fund's portfolio, as Maastricht is no longer part of our core regions. This sale builds on the previous transactions we have completed with Grouwels Vastgoed, spread across cities such as Amsterdam, Gouda and Groningen. This latest transaction demonstrates our mutual trust."

Roger Stroom, Head of Acquisition at Grouwels Vastgoed BV, adds: “The acquisition of this portfolio is a perfect fit with Grouwels Vastgoed's ambition to continue to play a relevant role in the Dutch housing market as a private investor. We are well acquainted with these properties in the centre of the beautiful city of Maastricht, as they are literally a stone’s throw from our office. As far as we are concerned, this makes it a wonderful transaction to underline our confidence in Bouwinvest and the Dutch housing market."

Capital Value and New Ground Law assisted the Bouwinvest Residential Fund in the sale.
