Bouwinvest’s Dutch Residential and Office Funds have together attracted a combined €125 million in new capital commitments in the first half of 2019 from two existing investors and one new one.

Bouwinvest’s Dutch Residential and Office Funds have together attracted a combined €125 million in new capital commitments in the first half of 2019 from two existing investors and one new one.

The Residential Fund received a total of €100 million in new commitments after one of its existing clients, the pension fund for the Dutch employee insurance agency UWV, raised its allocation to the  fund. Capital was also raised from a new investor - a pension fund advised by Kempen Capital Management - which brings the total number of investors in the Residential Fund to 23. The Residential Fund focuses primarily on the mid-range private rental market in the Netherlands and had total invested capital of €6.1 billion, as of 30 June 2019.

During the same period, Dutch insurance company Achmea Schadeverzekeringen invested a total of €25 million in the Office Fund, following a previous investment of the same amount. The Office Fund, which focuses on sustainable multifunctional, multi-let assets located primarily in the big cities in the largest cities in the Netherlands, currently has invested capital of €900 million and four clients.
