The Bouwinvest Retail Fund has acquired a retail property in the Demer in Eindhoven, boosting its total portfolio in the popular shopping street to more than 2,000 sqm. The store at Demer 20-22 is leased to Jeans Centre and has a surface area of around 520 sqm, including 360 sqm of retail space divided over the first two floors. Bouwinvest also owns the stores at Demer 38 and 48.

Bouwinvest’s Retail Fund targets popular shopping streets in the biggest Dutch cities (Experience) and smaller and local convenience stores (Convenience). This acquisition is an excellent fit with the fund’s Experience strategy, which is focussed on the top 15 biggest cities and most popular highstreets in the country.  

The Bouwinvest Retail Fund is an investment vehicle that is open to institutional investors. The fund focuses on the best highstreets and local convenience shopping centres. At the end of 2018, the invested capital totalled € 1 billion while the total return came to 7.0%. The vehicle is one of the most sustainable Dutch retail funds, with a GRESB rating of 4 stars.
