Bouwinvest has acquired 39 highly sustainable family rental homes in Veldhoven, on the western outskirts of the city of Eindhoven in the southern Dutch province of Brabant, from Floreffe, a partnership between real estate developers BPD Ontwikkeling regio Zuid, Van Santvoort Ontwikkeling and Land ‘s-Heeren Vastgoedontwikkeling.

22 of the houses in the Zandven district of Veldhoven are energy-neutral and the other 17 homes in Huysackers are equipped with solar panels and high-quality insulation. The proximity of the developments to Eindhoven’s High Tech Campus and the location of leading technology firm ASML on the other side of Veldhoven, is likely to underpin strong demand for these homes in the mid-level rental segment and also meets the local municipality’s requirements for a diversity of properties and range of rents in the area.

Michiel de Bruine, Director Dutch Residential Investments at Bouwinvest, said: “Bouwinvest is looking for residential investments that meet our high sustainability standards and so will maintain their value and attractiveness over the long-term. These acquisitions, in readily accessible locations on the edge of the thriving city of Eindhoven, completely meet those criteria.”
