Hotel Boat & Co, part of Bouwinvest’s Dutch Institutional Hotel Fund,has been awarded a BREEAM Excellent Certificate by the Dutch Green Building Association (DGBC). The fully energy-neutral Hotel Boat and Co received a BREEAM score of 73% in an independent assessment, recognising it as a very sustainable hotel.

Hotel Boat & Co was developed by IQNN Development, Vink Bouw and City ID. It is located in the Houthaven port area to the west of Amsterdam and offers an innovative hospitality concept with 82 hotel apartments, restaurant, gym and wellness facilities. Designed by Kollhoff & Pols Architects, the building’s architecture was inspired by the adjacent Spaarndammer district. Bouwinvest acquired the asset from the development consortium. Techniplan Advisors designed the technical installations in the building and managed the BREEAM certification process.

Bouwinvest's real estate investment strategy focuses on sustainably certified real estate that reduces environmental impact. Its aim is to have at least 75% of its capital invested in real estate with an above-average sustainability certificate by 2021.
