The Bouwinvest Retail Fund has let approx. 175 m2 of retail space to Rituals in its redeveloped Muntpassage shopping centre in Weert. The cosmetics retailer is moving from the Langstraat in Weert to a larger store in the Muntpassage where it will launch an innovative new format showcasing its products. The store is expected to open in mid-November.

With 15,800 m2 of retail space, the Muntpassage has 50 retail units including a wide range of fashion brands such as H&M, C&A, Shoeby and Van Haren. The mall also has an Albert Heijn supermarket, a Kruidvat pharmacy and a number of stores offering fresh produce. With Rituals further complementing its retail offer, the centre is now almost fully let, with only a few units still available.

The Bouwinvest Retail Fund invests long term in the Dutch retail market on behalf of institutional investors. It has a clear investment strategy based upon three pillars: clear segmentation, optimisation and sustainability. It focuses on experiential retail in the leading cities and busiest high streets and convenience-led neighbourhood shopping centres for daily needs.

The Bouwinvest Retail Fund aims to grow its assets under management to €1.1 billion by 2022. As one of the most sustainable Dutch retail funds, it has a GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark) rating of 4 stars.
