Bouwinvest has appointed Marleen Bosma-Verhaegh, as Head of Research, with effect from March 1st. She was formerly responsible for international property investments and strategic client advisory at pension and investment manager Blue Sky Group in the Netherlands.

Bouwinvest Finance Director, Arno van Geet, said: “Bouwinvest’s investment strategies are strongly research-driven, so we expect to make full use of Marleen’s experience and skills. We intend  to utilise our reinforced research capabilities to identify the best opportunities for our institutional clients by extending Bouwinvest’s radar in the Dutch and international real estate markets.”

Prior to her 10-year career at Blue Sky Group, Marleen Bosma-Verhaegh previously worked at Pension Fund of electronics group Philips and Syntrus Achmea Real Estate.

Bouwinvest Head of Research, Marleen Bosma-Verhaegh, said: “I’m very pleased to be joining Bouwinvest during a period when its domestic and international investments are growing rapidly. Institutional capital flows into real estate are increasing due to its attractive yields relative to other asset classes, but this also presents a challenge in sustaining returns. Astute and timely research can provide a big differentiating advantage for Bouwinvest in highly competitive investment markets.“
