“At Bouwinvest we think of hotels as an interesting asset class, which has proven itself in the last ten years as a solid niche market with interesting yields.” according to Allard van Spaandonk, Managing Director Dutch Investments.

Bouwinvest will extend their hotel portfolio by acquiring different hotels in the Netherlands. Within several years, the relatively young Bouwinvest Hotel Fund must have a volume of approximately 300 million euros. Bouwinvest will focus on hotel properties in the five big cities in the Netherlands: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Eindhoven and Utrecht. Currently, the fund contains the NH The Hague, Casa 400 in Amsterdam and the Room Mate Aitana hotel in Amsterdam. These hotels were all acquired in the last few years.

For this cause Bouwinvest recently signed an exclusive contract with the Colliers International hotel division. Colliers will advise and guide Bouwinvest with the acquisition of hotels in the Netherlands. Colliers International is exclusively assigned to advice Bouwinvest during the acquisition of appropriate properties and to assist during the negotiations. Colliers International has an experienced hotel department specialized in buying and selling of hotel properties and the valuation of hotel exploitations. With over 60 hotel professionals, the Colliers EMEA hotel team operates internationally and is a top-3 player in the European market, leaded by Dirk Bakker. Bakker, Director Hotels EMEA Colliers International: “We are proud that Bouwinvest, as one of the biggest hotel investors in the Netherlands, has chosen Colliers International”

Bas Jochims, Head of Asset Management Offices at Bouwinvest concerning the Hotel Fund
