‘Nowadays’ is nominated for the Prestigious MIPIM Urban Regeneration Award

Bouwinvest is proud to announce that Nowadays has been nominated for a prestigious MIPIM Award in the category Best Urban Regeneration Project. The awards ceremony will be held next week at the world’s largest property trade fair in Cannes on Thursday evening March 16th. It is the only Dutch project in the final stage of the competition. Bouwinvest’s ‘Nowadays’ High Street retail development in downtown Amsterdam is the only dutch project that is nominated in Cannes.

Nowadays is the largest High Street retail redevelopment project of its kind in the Netherlands and represents a major step in the regeneration of the historic downtown Amsterdam area. It includes Damrak 70 & 80, on the main gateway into the city, and the parallel Nieuwendijk 196, that runs into the busiest shopping street in the country. The project involved a technically challenging transformation of the outmoded existing properties into 27,500 m² of modern shopping space for leading international retail value brands.
