The Bouwinvest Dutch Residential Fund has purchased 31 apartments and 23 single-family homes in ‘Welgelegen Park’ in Apeldoorn, a town located 90 km east of Amsterdam, from Nijhuis Bouw. With this purchase, Bouwinvest expands its presence in Apeldoorn, where it already holds approximately 300 homes.

“Apeldoorn has a healthy demand for liberalised mid-segment rental properties. Moreover, the location of Welgelegen Park is excellent, as the translation of its name ‘Well Located’ suggests. We expect it to become a popular place to live in Apeldoorn, suitable for a broad target group,” says Michiel de Bruine, Director of Dutch Residential Investments at Bouwinvest.

Welgelegen Park is located directly on the canal, near the centre of Apeldoorn, a ten minute walk to the train station. A quiet and green living environment with easy access to local amenities. The housing units are the final phase of the Boog en Cluster area development the first phase if which was completed a few years ago.

The 31 apartments vary in size from 63 to 87 sqm. Welgelegen Park will be realised within the Nijhuis Trento® concept. Some of the single-family homes are designed to be a life-cycle proof with a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor. The homes are expected to be completed in the first half of 2019.
