Bouwinvest has signed an agreement with developer AM to acquire 100 non regulated rental homes to be built in the Landgoed Wickevoort development area of Cruquius on behalf of its Bouwinvest Residential Fund. The homes are part of a new residential area located in Cruquius, between the cities of Heemstede, Hoofddorp and Haarlem, about 30 kilometres southwest of Amsterdam and part of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area.

The site will be developed into a residential neighbourhood providing sports, education and care facilities alongside housing. The location has an existing ‘care farm’ for individuals with special needs that grows organic produce sold at its farm shop.

The 100 high quality rental homes will average 125m² each. Their sustainable energy system, including a heat pump, solar panels and floor heating, will ensure that they are energy neutral.

Construction is scheduled to commence at the end of 2017 with completion early 2019.
